YOUR IMPACT

Wingstop is seeking a skilled KDS (Kitchen Display System) Support Technician to join our growing dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading, managing and supporting all facets of Wingstop’s kitchen display systems. This position is integral to the success of Wingstop’s new kitchen display initiative, in order to support the next phase of growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Administration:

  • Lead role in the development and testing of KDS software upgrades, enhancements, and rollouts
  • Troubleshoot, modify and maintain the Kitchen Display System configuration database and identify any issues with integration points with Aloha POS
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or simplify the KDS/Aloha POS configurations. Setup and document formalized testing
  • Maintain adherence to Wingstop’s change control processes when releasing any change to the production environment
  • Represent KDS technology in cross functional meetings
  • Maintain all necessary mapping, naming conventions, and standard configurations for the integration of Aloha POS and KDS
  • Maintain multiple KDS configurations required for different asset types
  • Work cross functionally with Restaurant Technology, Digital, Marketing and Operations teams on new initiatives and promotions
  • Responsible for maintaining pre-production and production test lab environments for the KDS solution
  • Familiar with back of house kitchen operation integration points with KD and interprets KDS reporting to identify opportunities for improvement

Support:

  • Coordinate with KDS vendors on testing new product versions, and Aloha POS integrations
  • Creates, shares and publishes all supporting information around configuration, operation or service desk documentation 
  • Support the maintenance of KDS reporting, user access and access levels
  • Provide rollout deployment support for KDS rollout project management
  • Coordinate with KDS hardware vendors, install vendors and cross functional teams on pre-install, go-live and post install configuration and validation activities
  • Function as SME on KDS product software, KDS reporting and exports, KDS/Aloha POS integrations, and KDS support channels
  • Understand and use technology best practices and coach’s others in the effective use of these resources
  • Assist Operations and Training teams with brand partner communications in regard to KDS changes and updates
  • Support brand partners with KDS questions, concerns and system issues with SLA guidelines
  • Form strong working relationships cross functionally and with external vendors

WHO YOU ARE

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Forms strong working relationships within team and external vendors
  • Knowledge of NCR Aloha POS
  • Knowledge of NCR Configuration Center & NCR Command Center
  • Knowledge of NCR Command Center
  • Knowledge of basic restaurant hardware such as receipt printers, kitchen printers, and touch screen POS terminals
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows OS troubleshooting and event logging
  • Strong deductive reasoning skills to evaluate, support, and troubleshoot complex technical server/network hardware and software systems and problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient at researching issues using traffic analysis tools, debug tools, and vendor information.
  • Working knowledge of PCI controls as it pertains to network architecture requirements.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Required: 
  1. Knowledge of NCR Aloha POS
  2. Microsoft Office Suite 

Preferred:

  1. Knowledge of NCR Configuration Center and Command Center
  2. Knowledge of Kitchen Display Systems
  3. Knowledge of Sharepoint

  • Frequent use of a computer and other technologies essential to the successful completion of your everyday role responsibilities
  • Information gathering, documenting, analyzing and communicating with cross functional colleagues, vendors, and extended Wingstop team. 
  • Routine need to shift priorities among simultaneous projects, while upholding quality and sense of urgency.
  • After hours support on an as needed basis.
