A $2000 sign-on bonus applies to those with no prior state service in the last five years; must stay with WMHI for a minimum of one year to retain the bonus. Bonus will be split, $1,000 upon hire and $1,000 after completing probation.

As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist - Advanced, you would be responsible for:

• Making minor repairs to all tractors, small engines, snow removal, and grounds equipment.
• Providing preventative maintenance and servicing of battery-powered tuggers, electric carts and grounds equipment.
• Performing general maintenance duties on heating systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, ventilation systems, minor washer and dryer repairs, and general clinical staff requests for maintenance during scheduled weekend shifts for Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI), Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC), and Wisconsin Women’s Resource Center (WWRC).
• Submitting monthly estimates of material needed to perform assigned tasks.
• Keeping accurate logs, and submitting written reports as required.
• Inspecting, maintaining, installing, removing and performing repairs of institute floors, ceilings, door and window hardware, screens, furniture, parking lots, sidewalks, playgrounds, and various building hardware and equipment.
• Working around patients/inmates while responsible for the security of tools and keys.

You will be required to work around patients/residents and will be responsible for the security of tools and keys.

Qualifications

• Experience operating snow removal equipment, tractors, trucks, or other heavy equipment.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs to plumbing equipment and systems.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs to the electrical equipment and systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy ** to drive a state vehicle.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $22.78 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
