In School Suspension Monitor for Winnisquam Regional Middle School 2024-2025 School YearThe In School Suspension Monitor is responsible for supervising and monitoring students assigned to the In-School Suspension Program, and also assists with other responsibilities as needed. This position is a paraprofessional positionApplications accepted until position is filled.Job Responsibilities: * Provide supervision for students who are assigned to the In-School Suspension classroom* Process students as they arrive and monitor their behavior within the room* Maintain a safe and quiet environment for all students within the room* Communicate with the student's classroom teachers for their assignments* Provide encouragement and feedback to students completing assignments, and provide instructional assistance as appropriate* Complete other duties as assigned by building administrationJob Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent* Knowledge of school and classroom rules, procedures and practices* Ability to interpret and establish appropriate rules, methods, and techniques in maintaining a disciplined academic environment* Strong interpersonal skills and patience* Experience working with students and knowledge of conflict resolution techniques* Ability to professionally represent the School District in interactions with parents, community, staff and studentsEOE
