Overview

Scope of Position: Work with the Camp Experience team to develop and deliver the full WinShape Camps for Communities palette of camp activities and culture. Collaborate on the creation of a culture of engaging fun, belonging, and the production of relevant, age-specific experiences that propel the mission of WinShape Camps.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and delivery of all activities-based content including Skills (Archery, Basketball, Crafts, Science, etc.), large-group recreation programming, and any other activities included in the camp program for a particular year.
• Support the continual development and delivery of intentional camp culture elements and traditions that create a sense of belonging and loyalty for all campers.
• Create excellent environmental spaces by collaborating with the Creative Services team to design and develop engaging physical expressions of camp culture (flags, signage, banners, etc.) and activities-based content and resources for camp.
• Lead and execute training experiences that help Summer Staff learn and own the activities-based elements of the camp program.
• Ensure that project deadlines and goals laid out by Team Leader are met and achieved.
• Partner closely with Foundation Procurement Team to manage and help oversee WinShape Camps for Communities inventory and equipment.
• Support the planning and execution of other year-round events such as Host Rally and Leadership Weekend.
• Serve on a Point Team for camp leadership teams in the summer to provide feedback, guidance, and problem-solving.
• Serve as a member of assigned alignment team to effectively collaborate with other full-time staff who serve in an Activities-focused role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication and relational skills.
• Experience in project management.
• Served at least one year on Summer Staff with WinShape Camps or another camp ministry is preferred, but not required.
• Experience in the flowing areas is valued for this specific position: innovation, content creation, recreational program planning, vendor relations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and able to work within a project management platform.
• Willing to engage in moderate travel (10-20%) throughout the year and heavy travel (40-50%) in the summer.
• Maintain regular office hours at the WinShape Camps office in Atlanta, GA.
• A self-professing Christ-follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis.
• Must hold or obtain a valid driver’s license for the state in which they are hired and have an acceptable driving record.
