Overview :

Scope of Position : Coordinate the hiring, training and development of Summer Staff, while propelling the purpose and mission of WinShape Camps for Communities.

Lead the hiring and placement of camp teams. Supervise the Camps for Community Coordinators. Serve on the WinShape Camps for Communities Leadership Team.

Reports to : Manager, Programs Camps

Responsibilities :

Leads the hiring, training, and functional responsibilities of the Summer Staff that serve at WinShape Camps for Communities.

Serves on the Manager / Team Lead team to collaborate on the execution of yearly organizational goals and long-range organizational planning.

Leads the onboarding, training, and development of WinShape Camps for Communities Camp Directors including leading events for those in the year-round Director Associate Program.

Facilitates the development of Summer Staff training strategy and content at training events specifically Director Weekend, Leadership Weekend, and Staff Training.

Champions a leadership pipeline to grow our Summer Staff applicant pool, with a specialized focus on retaining Returning Summer Staff.

Develops a recruiting pipeline to grow the number of former Volunteers and former Campers who apply to work as Summer Staff.

Oversees the staff communication timeline and strategy including Staff Manuals, Staff Handbooks and regular emails.

Serves as the content lead for End of Summer Staff Banquet.

Leads the spiritual development, nourishment, and investment in our Summer Staff.

Leads the creation of consistent expectations and training for Point Teams, to ensure a high-level of support from Full Time Staff to camp teams throughout the summer.

Serve as member of the WinShape Camps Interview Team, identifying potential summer staff.

Serve as a member of the Program & Training Work Team, coordinating recruiting, hiring, training, and development efforts between camp teams.

Serves as a member of assigned work team(s) as needed.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Requires 2-4 years of relevant work experience to include leading people.

Experience in project management and leading teams in project planning and execution.

Demonstrates skills in written and verbal communication, time management, training facilitation, and goal setting.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Willing to engage in moderate travel (10-20%) throughout the year and heavy travel (50-60%) in the summer.

Maintain regular office hours

A self-professing Christ-follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis.

Must hold or obtain a valid driver’s license for the state in which they are hired and have an acceptable driving record.
