Winston Client - Healthcare Organization - Queens is Hiring a Contract Administrator Near New York, NY

Contract Administrator

Our client is a health system located in Queens, New York. The system provides emergency and ambulatory care to the densely populated, diverse, and medically underserved Rockaways and Five Towns populations. They are currently seeking a Contract Administrator who initiates, negotiates, generates, and tracks provider Letters of Agreement, contracts, and amendments from initial draft to full execution utilizing approved standardized contract templates/amendments, tracking and monitoring of all contracts within the organization. This role will partner with leadership and play a key part in process improvement solutions that enhance accountability and effective management of the organization’s contract operations. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will actively ensure compliance with contracts and seeks guidance, insight, and approval on strategic contracting initiatives or projects with other departments as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee workflow of contract coordination – from intake, review, to execution;
  • Audit and manage contract database, (e.g., organizing and uploading finalized contracts, managing system issues);
  • Support contract document revisions and special contract projects as needed;
  • Manage internal tracking and reporting of contract-related metrics;
  • Triage contract requests for review and analysis;
  • Assist in internal and external audit requests received by organization;
  • Review and maintain various compliance, legal, licensure, and accreditation documents as requested;
  • Maintain contract administration policies, procedures, and process;
  • Provide education and guidance on contract administration, policies, procedures, and processes;
  • Manage contract reporting inquiries, cadence, and delivery for all contracts;
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring that all parties involved adhere to the terms of the contract
  • Monitoring Performance: Overseeing contractor progress and performance, including developing and tracking key metrics
  • Maintaining Records: Using digital tools to securely store all documents for easy access during audits or other needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field; Master's Degree preferred
  • Three (3) years of healthcare contracting experience;
  • Experience working with Third Party vendors preferred;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy
  • Strong customer service and contract administration skills;
  • General knowledge in areas of contracting, legal, and the healthcare industry;
  • General knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and state and federal laws, including those pertaining to anti-trust statutes, anti-kickback statutes, anti-bribery laws, Stark law, and HIPAA;
  • General knowledge of total contract management, fair market and commercial reasonableness valuations, and the ability to use contract databases;

Compensation:

$115K - $125K plus excellent benefits
