WIM: Outside Sales Representative

Winston Industrial Maintenance, Inc. (WIM) was established in Oxford, North Carolina in January 2023. You may have previously known WIM as Oxford Maintenance Supply, a business that had been in the local area for almost 30 years. When we heard that they were closing their doors, we stepped in to meet the needs of our local community, providing quality janitorial and industrial maintenance supplies with unparalleled service. We are a woman-led business that is family owned and operated.

Position Title: Outside Sales Representative

Available as either a Full-Time or Part-Time position

Position Description

WIM is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our family-like atmosphere. The outside sales representative will grow sales and increase profitability by cultivating current customers and recruiting new customers. This dynamic representative will regularly interact with prospects and customers in person at the customer's site of business or other off-site locations. This experienced representative will establish and maintain positive business relationships, internally and externally, to promote company goals. A significant level of interpersonal and communication skills is required for success in this role.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Build partnerships with existing and new customers by coordinating the efforts of sales, opportunity management, and marketing to maximize Revenue and Margin
  • Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed, and recommend new items for stock
  • Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
  • This position requires frequent local travel from customer sites to establish and further build relationships
  • Time Management and Organization Skills with Attention to Detail
  • Ability to Work Without Close Supervision
  • Commitment to Team Environment

Education and Experience

  • 2 years outside sales experience (experience in our industry preferred)
  • High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • NetSuite Experience (Preferred but not Required)

Schedule

  • Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-5:00PM
  • Friday 8:00AM-2:00PM

Benefits (full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days)

Compensation

  • This position is available as either Full-Time or Part-Time. Non-exempt, hourly employee. Wage dependent upon experience.
