Winterwood Incorporated is Hiring a Property Maintenance Technician Near Frostproof, FL

We’re looking for a self-motivated and dependable Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Property Maintenance Technician will oversee the daily maintenance needs of a 36-unit property. The Property Maintenance Technician will keep grounds cleaned and trash free, complete unit turns in a timely 7-10 day turn, paint, drywall repair, minor plumbing, minor electric, clean units out as needed. May be asked to help at neighboring property when needed.  
Property Name/Address: Elkhorn Apartments, 37 Elkhorn Drive, Frostproof, FL 33843.
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week).
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
Salary: $15.00-$18.00 per hour based on experience, plus a one-time sign-on bonus of $500 and cell phone reimbursement.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • At least one year of property or apartment maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance (painting, dry-wall patching, plumbing, electrical).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • After hours availability in the event of an emergency.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Possess own basic hand tools.
  • Willingness and ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Responsibilities:
  • Completes all maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
  • Completes make-ready process of vacant units as directed by the Property Manager, including repairs, cleaning and painting.
  • Inspects grounds daily for needed repairs such as gutters, downspouts, roofing, siding, water leaks, HVAC units, etc.
  • Daily trash pickup on complex grounds, including curbs, landscaping, and dumpster areas.
  • Other related tasks, as assigned.
