Winthrop Position Title Special Projects Graduate Assistant Job Purpose

To manage creative and administrative projects for the Department of Fine Arts

Duties and Responsibilities

The Special Projects position includes 9 hours a week to assist the Art Education area, as well as 1 hour a week creating content for the @fineartswinthrop and @mfawinthrop Instagram feeds. As this is a project-based position, the GA will occasionally assist with the installation/deinstallation of department exhibitions and other misc. duties related to Fine Arts facilities. Reports to Mark Hamilton and Michelle Livek Garner.

Qualifications

* Winthrop graduate student in good academic standing, CVPA required.

* Experience in 2D and graphic design. (recommended, not required)

* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, GSuite, and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Mail Chimp).

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent organization, problem-solving, and task completion skills.

* Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.

* Willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with the scope of Fine Arts and broad understanding of disciplines within.

Knowledge of basic computer programs and graphics software.

* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, GSuite, and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, MailChimp).
