·About the Accounting Assistant: The candidate that will prosper in this role will be smart, dedicated, customer service driven, and willing to think outside of the box!

What you will be doing:

·Post customer payments by recording ACH, checks, and credit card transactions.

·Perform daily route settlement processing tasks, organize and file necessary paperwork.

·Perform End of Month processing for inventory roll forward.

·Prepare daily deposit and scan checks to the bank.

·Respond to calls and emails regarding customer account activities.

·Review A/R aging reports for assigned chain customers and independent customers.

·Perform pricing and invoice corrections to customer accounts as directed.

·Process returned payments from the bank and follow up with the customer.

·Assist in the review of billing, collection, and cash posting processes for efficiency and best practices.

·Other finance and accounting tasks, reconciliations, special projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

What we are looking for:

·An associate degree in accounting preferred but will consider additional years of experience in lieu of degree.

·Solid overall general skills in working with numbers, computer, and 10-key entry, organizing, and communicating in both verbal and written form.

·Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software (Excel and Word preferred).

·Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.

·High attention to detail.

·Ability to provide suggestions for the improvement of practices and to work with fellow employees as part of a team.

·Repetitive motion of wrist, fingers, and arms. Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
