Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, Safety Coordinator, and Department Lead Person/s, this position is required to operate and monitor soft drink filling equipment, prepare returnable packaging containers for refilling and operate equipment.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Monitor Filling and Packaging Equipment
2. Load raw materials into packing equipment, monitor and operate palletizing/wrapping equipment.
3. Observe quality of product and remove any defective materials from the production line.
4. Accurately and consistently fill out required production documents.
5. Operate forklift. Transport finished pallets of product to warehouse storage.
6. Operate automatic inventory system by mean of mounted computer and scanners.
7. Follow all clean-up procedures. Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
8. May be required to assist in warehouse as facility needs mandate (loading and unloading trailers).
9. Work extended hourly shift, possibly on short notice and the ability to work extended hourly shift by means of scheduled early start time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires basic mathematical and writing skills.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and remain alert at all times.
Must be able to work under minimum supervision.
Must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform light maintenance.
Consistently report to work on time.
Computer skills will assist in multiple areas of several required duties.
