In this role, each day will bring a different challenge, such as:

• Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with various teams to forecast and meet purchasing needs.
• Build Strong Supplier Relationships: Foster and maintain positive connections with suppliers to negotiate and manage purchase orders effectively.
• Inventory Management: Work with our Materials Management team to maintain optimal inventory levels and oversee shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues with undelivered goods.
• Data Management: Keep accurate and detailed records of purchases, costs, deliveries, and product performance.
• Supplier Evaluation: Research and assess suppliers based on multiple criteria including price, quality, service, and reliability.
• Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to TS16949 certification requirements.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years in a Purchasing role or Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

You will be based in an office at our corporate headquarters located at 838 S. 16^th Street in Manitowoc. You will occasionally interact with managers and others from the production floor. You must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel between our 838 S. 16th Street location (50%) and 1931 S. 14th Street location in Manitowoc (50%).
