The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) Milwaukee Campus is looking for part-time and full-time Client Services Representatives to join our Client Services and Animal Care team. As a Client Services Representative at WHS, you will make an impact by offering valuable services to the community and providing support to animals. Position Summary
Job Responsibilities
  • Commit to a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental approach with all clients, callers, and coworkers
  • Help animals find new homes via our same-day adoption process
  • Support client questions in person, by phone, and via email
  • Process register transactions and support customers with products in retail store
  • Welcome animals arriving via owner surrenders, transfers from other organizations, and end-of-life services.
  • Maintain accurate and objective records in our animal management software
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
  • Work cooperatively within your own department and cross departmentally
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Availability to work a consistent weekend shift every week and rotating holidays.
  • Must be able to routinely carry 25lbs and up to 50lbs
  • Must be committed to our organizational values of compassion, respect, and kindness, innovation, professionalism, equity, and positive approach
  • Ability to partner with clients, staff, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to manage assigned personal schedule and timecard
  • Prior client services and animal experience a plus
  • Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply

The Wisconsin Humane Society is the oldest and largest shelter in Wisconsin. Founded in 1879, WHS operates shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Door, Brown, and Kenosha Counties, as well as a Spay/Neuter Clinic in West Allis. Founded in 1879, the Wisconsin Humane Society has been saving the lives of animals in need for nearly 140 years. WHS is a 501(c)(3) organization and operates animal shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Door and Brown Counties, as well as a spay/neuter clinic in West Allis. WHS annually serves 40,000 animals.
