Who we are: Wisdom Traditions Counseling Services provides Alaska State certified and CARF nationally accredited outpatient programs, including tele-health services for patients who are appropriate for that platform. Our integrated approach to patient care includes the treatment of behavioral health, addiction, care coordination for primary care medical and medication management,. Who we are looking for: A motivated self-starter who brings a mature attitude and strong work ethic, with an eye for details, looking for a dynamic and fulfilling career in a supportive team-based environment; able to manage multiple priorities with ease, technology proficient and familiar with PC and Mobile platforms.
Essential Job Function: Coordinate patient encounters and provide patient support services to ensure that each patient encounter is positive, professional and efficient. Fulfill revenue cycle related requirements for optimal reimbursement. Duties include: scheduling patient appointments, coordinating care with other services/agencies and minimizing access delays, technology proficient, processing incoming referrals, triaging patient telephone calls, collecting and/or updating demographic and financial information, investigating pre-authorizations and approval for insurance, checking in patients, processing co-pays and patient charge documents, and establishing systems and resources to improve processes and efficiency of the patient experience.
Required Education/Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Minimum of one (1) year customer service and/or administrative support experience
Preferred: -Associate Degree - Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a mental health care/recovery setting or related field - Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment - Familiarity with other cultures.
Demonstrate Ability to Perform:
Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft suite
Experienced with Electronic Health Records systems
Competent with PC and Mobile platforms
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communication, interpersonal skills
Function independently in office
Function collaboratively with professional counseling team
Must be willing to work with patients who present with addiction and maladaptive behaviors
Background check and work references required.
