Job Description

A Wiss client is seeking an Assistant Controller to assist in all Family Office functions. The ideal candidate will have Family Office experience and investment accounting, You will be responsible for month-end reporting, reviewing all accounting entries, preparing and analyzing daily cash reports, calculating IRR on PE and real estate investments, etc. Public accounting or Family Office experience is a MUST. CPA is highly preferred. The position will be onsite 5 days/week! LOCAL CANDIDATES TO NJ ONLY!

Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for all reporting deliverables.
• Maintain database of statements
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
• Responsible for calling capital for numerous entities.
• Calculate IRR for all private equity and real estate investments.
• Monitor rent receivables and communicate with tenants.
• Maintain outstanding commitment schedule to confirm adequate liquidity.
• Propose and implement solutions to support cost reduction and reporting enhancement.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable for real estate and investment entities.
• Ensure loan payments are timely and covenants are maintained.
• Work with banks to obtain statements and clarify open items.

Qualifications/Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting
• Minimum 3 years' experience in investment accounting
• Prior experience in public accounting or working for a family office
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
• SEI Archway experience is a plus

Target Compensation and Benefits: $135k-$140k salary bonus.
