Payroll and Benefits Manager
Overview:
The Payroll and Benefits Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing and administering employee benefits programs within the US organization. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, compliance with regulations, and effective communication with employees regarding their compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end multi-state payroll process, including calculation of wages, deductions, taxes, and ensuring timely payments.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits offerings.
  • Handling both hourly and salary payroll calculations based on different pay structures.
  • Overseeing weekly and semi-monthly payroll schedules to ensure employees are paid on time.
  • Developing and maintaining the payroll process, including implementing best practices and streamlining procedures.
  • Ensuring payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax laws and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborating with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and improve overall payroll operations.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure the organization's payroll practices remain compliant.
  • Providing guidance and training to staff on payroll policies and procedures.
  • Generating reports and analyzing payroll data to support financial decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
  • Proven experience in payroll management, including multi-state payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and benefits regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
  • Workday experience is preferred.
  • Experience in global companies preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Advance Excell skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
