Description : Job Summary :
The Warehouse Receiving Specialist is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift / electric pallet jack for moving, locating, stacking, loading, unloading, and counting merchandise. The product will be inputted in the WMS by SKU, product expiration or production date, lot number, and unique pallet identification. The Warehouse Specialist ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices for cold chain management.
Main Responsibilities and Duties :
Receiving :
- Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves products to the storage locations.
- Efficiently stacks and stores the product in the appropriate area(s).
- Prior to product storage, count all products and compare the count to the bill of lading.
- Checks all shipments for damage, infestation, production, and or expiration code dates, and lot numbers.
- Reports shortages, damages, and misplacements to the shift lead who will forward the information to the appropriate parties.
- Verify incoming shipment's item number (SKU) expiration or production date and lot number to scan into Witte WMS by unique pallet IDs.
