Job Description

Provides technical guidance and oversight and acting as a point of escalation and technical support.

This role exhibits autonomy and works under general direction. Uses discretion in identifying and responding to complex issues and assignments. Usually receives specific instructions and has work reviewed at frequent milestones. Determines when issues should be escalated to a higher level.

This role interacts with and influences colleagues. Has working level contact with customers, suppliers and partners. May supervise others or make decisions which impact the work assigned to individuals or phases of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops, documents, communicates, and enforces systems standards, policies, and procedures for standardizing systems assets.
• Installs, configures, maintains, and replaces new equipment (e.g. compute devices, power supplies, cameras, wiring, etc.).
• Conducts multiple levels of testing prior to release of new and upgrades systems, products or services.
• Evaluates and designs new solutions utilizing existing standards and new technologies.
• Performs root cause analysis, resolves problems and recommends solutions.
• Establishes guidelines and standards for capacity management review and establishes standards for network and telecom systems operations.
• Monitors and plans capacity of all hosting environments to plan for future growth.
• Performs troubleshooting and issue resolution and escalates issues to appropriate 3rd party vendor if needed.
• Provides technical support and consultation to colleagues and customers as needed.
• Conducts tests, corrects malfunctions, and documents results in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Provides assistance to users in a professional manner following agreed procedures for further help or escalation.
• Reviews change requests.
• Maintains accurate records of user requests, contact details and outcomes.
• Contributes to the development of installation procedures and standards.
• Contributes to the availability management process and its operation and performs defined availability management tasks.
• Analyzes service and component availability, reliability, maintainability and serviceability.
• Ensures that services and components meet and continue to meet all their agreed performance targets and service levels.

Job Requirements:
