We are looking for a Senior Family Law Attorney who is passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at meeting with clients and preparing necessary legal documents in connection with separation agreements and family law litigation. Experience in handling legal issues such as child custody, equitable distribution, spousal support, and domestic violence is also a must. Compensation$120,000
Responsibilities

• Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
• Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
• Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
• Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings
• Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
• Keep client files properly organized and up to date

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
• 5-10 years of family law experience preferred
