THE ROLE: Accounts Receivable Specialist- Deductions & Disputes

The department is responsible for the processing and mailing of all company invoices, the application of payments to those invoices, credit and collections, trade spend application, and sales administration. This position’s duties would include the trade spend application and customer disputes.

JOB DUTIES:

• Verify trade spend invoices against approved plans
• Apply trade spend invoices to the appropriate plans

• Work with the Trade Spend Management team on discrepancies
• Package and file disputes with customers
• Process check requests in trade spend application for customers who do not deduct (USD & CAD)
• Process rebates in accordance with predetermined schedule
• Perform customer audit reviews and resolution
• Assist with internal Audit requests
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Adhere to department service level agreements (SLAs)
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls
• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Proactively report accounts receivable discrepancies and potential risks to Accounts Receivable Supervisor
• Complete special projects, requests and additional duties as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid California Driver License and clean driving record

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English

• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Must be proficient at data entry
• Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum two to three years previous experience in accounting environment
