Job Description
We are seeking several Mechanical Designer II’s with 3-7 years of experience to become a part of our team! Youwill prepare detailed working diagrams of fabricated items, machinery, custom components as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. We are a fast paced team, and work on a variety of projects with large assemblies.
Responsibilities
• Mechanical design for new and interesting industrial equipment, mobile units, mobile trailers,
hydraulic equipment, weldment, and machine design. Design with plastics or plastic molds a
plus.
• Sketching your design ideas
• Designing complicated weldments, sheet metal and machined parts. The more complicated, the
more fun, right?
• Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies
• Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload
• Coordinate with other colleagues regarding complex designs.
Qualifications
• Bachelors in Industrial Technology, related field and/or 3-7 years experience in mechanical
design, drafting, manufacturing or other related fields
•
- Ability and desire to think creatively.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment where the engineering team was
responsible to create production level part and assembly drawings, along with a Bill of
Materials.
• 3 years experience with Solidworks, Inventor.
• 3 years experience with machine and fabricated welded equipment design.
• 3 years experience with weldment detailing, sheet metal
• AutoCAD, OnShape and Creo experience is a plus
• Strong grasp of Solidworks and/or AutoCAD Inventor.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T
• Deadline and detail-oriented
