WNB Financial NA is Hiring a Retail Market Manager Near Winona, MN

The Retail Market Manager proactively leads the growth of the Winona office's retail market share through a variety of business development efforts. Manages, coordinates and performs all Universal Banker functions. Leads and champions consumer sales and coordinates the goal setting, tracking, and training associated with deposits, consumer lending and related fee income. Understands and completes job responsibilities in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Essential Functions:
Management 60%
  • Supervises Universal Bankers, Lending Universal Bankers, and Personal Bankers
  • Provides scheduling, training, coaching, and performance reviews for direct reports
  • Implements and supports Trusted Financial Advisory sales culture and training for Bank products and services
  • Establishes and ensures adherence to retail banking policies and procedures
  • Assesses current and potential retail products to ensure they are meeting client and bank needs
  • Responsible for the management and administration/updating of the business continuity plans and program
  • Reviews and approves consumer loans outside of loan officer limits or policy exceptions
  • Directs and supports onboarding and training/development of retail co-workers
Client Relationships 30%
  • Grows consumer loans and deposits through outbound prospect calling to area small businesses and implementing retail outreach efforts
  • Identifies the financial needs of our clients and serves as a Trusted Financial Advisor
  • Cross-sells Bank products and services to clients
  • Opens accounts according to set policies and procedures
  • Reviews and approves consumer loan applications
  • Troubleshoots and resolves client concerns
  • Personalizes all client interactions and works to maintain client relationships
  • Assists clients via phone, email, and in-person while following the Banks service standards
  • Ensures all regulation requirements are met
  • Processes client teller transactions on as needed basis
  • Maintains and balances cash drawer and/or vault on as needed basis
Additional Duties and Responsibilities 10%
  • Provides access to safe deposit boxes
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Attends required department meetings
  • Other job related duties necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position
  • Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as required
Requirements

Occasionally participates in bank committees and events.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires Bachelor's degree in finance, business or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years new account opening and consumer lending experience and 5 years supervisory experience. Must possess: strong leadership, management, coaching, presentation and training skills. Must possess courteous and professional customer service attitude; excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting professionally with clients (both pleasant and difficult situations) and relating to other co-workers; ability to maintain the integrity of highly confidential client and Bank information. Must possess computer functioning and typing skills; basic mathematical skills up to and including fractions; legible handwriting. Must be able to deal effectively with time pressures and stress that can change hourly depending on level of client activity; effective problem solving skills; effective cross selling skills. Must be a self-starter and independent thinker and meet goals as outlined by the manager.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed largely in an office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Regular contact with clients and co-workers. Occasional out-of-town travel is required for business and education. Regular mental and visual concentration for computer usage required. Frequent use of telephone. Frequent repetitive use of keyboard for approximately 6 hours per day; frequent repetitive fingering and grasping of papers. Receive and provide detailed information through verbal communication. Requires near-, mid-range, and far vision. Will alternate sitting, standing, and walking throughout work shift. Bend, stoop, turn, lift and carry up to 25 pounds in documents and office supplies. Climb stairs. Work is performed generally during regular business hours with minimal expectations of overtime, including a Saturday rotation.
Equipment Used:
Operates personal computer in a Windows environment for word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet, and other bank specific software. Operates core systems on Silverlake. Utilizes a variety of office equipment including computer printer, cash recycler, ten-key calculator, fax, copy machine, typewriter, and multi-line telephone.
