Position Summary: As a dedicated solo truck driver for our partner's account, you'll play a pivotal role in the transportation of critical railroad parts across designated routes. Your journey will begin in Dayton, OH, embarking on a 5-day weekly route with stops in Fort Wayne, IN, Elkhart, IN, Chicago, IL, and other locations as required. With a focus on safety and efficiency, you'll handle both deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and secure transport of freight. Hazmat endorsement is a prerequisite for this role, as 20% of the loads will consist of broken-down locomotive parts. We are currently seeking drivers for a 5-day weekly route starting in Dayton, OH. This route involves making deliveries and pickups to various customers and vendor warehouses in Fort Wayne, IN, Elkhart, IN, Chicago, IL, and other areas as needed before returning to Dayton, OH. Weekend work will be required on this lane, with schedules rotating based on customer freight needs.

Miles:

• 20 stops per week
• Weekly mileage ranges from 2,191 to 2,600 miles
• Average weekly pay: $1,495.05 / Annual pay: $76,248.00

Schedule: Departure times vary between 0500 0900, based on customer needs and route type. This is a 24/7 operation, including weekends, with schedules tailored to specific routes.

Home Time: Home time includes a 34-hour reset day, varying depending on customer shipping days.

Combination of drop and hook and tailgating. Drivers may need to lift boxes (up to 50 lbs.) and assist with moving freight to the back of the trailer. Access to a manual pallet jack provided.

Requirements:

• 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience
• Hazmat endorsement required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Drivers are scheduled to work holidays except Christmas, unless otherwise specified by the customer. Holiday work is compensated with regular pay plus holiday pay.
