In partnership with Baton Rouge Community College, Woman’s will provide a unique opportunity for internal and external applicants to complete a paid 3-week CNA program and have the opportunity to be a part of Woman's full-time staff when finished.
The curriculum is based on the standards set by the Louisiana Department of Health Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program and the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA). Completion of this training program will make students eligible to take the Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation.
This course will be in-person learning at BRCC Acadia Campus and will integrate the skills needed (feeding, bathing, mobilizing patients, etc.) to successfully complete this program. At the end of the two-week, Monday-Friday classroom portion of this course there will be a one-week (40 hours) clinical rotation at an LDH approved facility.
Total Tuition, Supplies, and Fees paid by Woman’s Hospital with a one-year commitment to either our Labor & Delivery, Med-Surg/Oncology or Mother/Baby department.
