Woman Hospital is Hiring a Network Operations Manager - Information Systems Near Baton Rouge, LA

The Network Operations Manager will work closely with operations, leadership team, peers from other applications, technical teams, and hospital staff, to drive internal and external solutions. The Network Operations Manager is responsible for the Network System Administrators team, with overall responsibility for the direction, scope, cost, schedule, quality, and success of the projects. This manager is also responsible for overseeing the operations of the data center(s)/Cloud, strategic planning and implementation, ensures the data center/Cloud remains ahead of demand in terms of storage space, processing power, and connectivity. Will coordinate all project activities: software and hardware implementation training, optimization, business and IS related task, internal communications, process improvement, and develop a plan for sustaining support. Ensures that the software and hardware meets organizations goals Assists director and SVP, Information Systems in developing the annual budget for: special projects, implementation of software and hardware and/or network requirements. Ensures compliance with OSHA guidelines.

The Network Operations Manager must have a passion for change and identifying better ways to do things. they must be an effective communicator and independent worker who will be an industry leader in changing how healthcare technology is configured, delivered, and supported.

Requirements:

  • Requires 5 years’ manager/supervisory experience in a business or hospital information systems setting.
  • Requires familiarity with Joint Commission standards, federal requirements and disaster recovery planning preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree with course work in computer science preferred. Requires demonstrated continuing education in information systems technology and its application.
  • Requires knowledge of network operating systems, Cloud, client server systems, data communications and data center hardware and operations. Network analysis and management decision-making skills required. Prior vendor management and purchasing experience also preferred.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manages regularly scheduled maintenance of all equipment in data center and network both on campus and off-site as well as cloud.
  • Manages and supports projects involving data center and Cloud to assure timely completion and appropriate communication.
  • Assures daily support of customer needs regarding data center and Cloud are meet in a timely manner and with appropriate communication.
  • Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and other federal guidelines. Coordinates these activities with Director, Quality Director, Risk Management; and Compliance Officer.

Pay Range:

Exempt/Salaried Position

$84,000 - $139,000
