Since 1968 Woman’s has been part of a select group of hospitals in the nation who can provide quality care for the smallest and sickest babies. With the addition of a Level II Pediatric Intensive Care Unit we are expanding our services to care for babies who require critical care up to 18 months of age. Our designation as a Level II PICU means we have a neonatologist or pediatric intensivist and anesthesiologist available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our caring team of neonatologists, pediatric intensivists, and specially trained nurses monitor the baby’s condition at all times by direct observation, and by using the latest specialized equipment and technology available.
