Position Title/Type: Substance Abuse Counselor - Full Time or Part-Time

Schedule Hiring For:

  • Full Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Part Time Hours: Saturday to Sunday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Salary: $51,000 - $53,000/year (negotiable based on experience)

Woodhaven Treatment Center , a leader in voluntary adult alcohol and drug treatment services, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor. In this role, you will be integral in providing high-quality care, supporting individuals in their recovery journey through effective therapy and personalized care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Group Therapy: Facilitate group therapy sessions for adults with substance use disorders.
  • Case Management: Manage individual cases, ensuring the development and timely review of comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure effective continuity of care.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous and timely clinical documentation.
  • Professional Conduct: Uphold professional boundaries and confidentiality consistently.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate Degree, or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least one to two years' (preferred) experience in substance use disorder treatment. We do accept New Counselors
  • Certification: Minimum of LCDC II, or in the process of obtaining higher certification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ASAM criteria beneficial.

Skills and Attributes

  • Therapeutic Skills: Expertise in group therapy, crisis intervention, and time management.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the 12-step Recovery Program and addiction treatment models.
