POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Administrator, the Accounts Manager manages all accounts receivable, patient trust funds, and other assigned duties. He/she ensures that the financial system is accurate, efficient, and in accordance with professional accounting practices and government regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Handles resident billing and collection per prescribed procedures.
2. Records facility census information daily.
3. Attends daily and weekly facility-required meetings.
4. Is familiar with insurance coverage on residents in order to channel their medical bills and supplies.
Is familiar with long term medicaid applications and qualifications for approval.
5. Handles Resident Trust Fund duties as assigned.
6. Relates knowledgeable information regarding admission requirements and rates.
7. Is familiar with the admission folder and admission procedure for new admissions.
8. Enters pertinent information regarding new residents into the computer.
9. Has working knowledge of all office procedures and systems.
Answers the telephone as needed.
11 Assists Administrator in other duties as directed.
