Job Title: Culinary Manager
Description: The Culinary Manager is responsible for the guest experience for new & exciting promotions and meal prep within the fresh culinary department
Reports To: Store Manager

Successful Teammates will conduct themselves in a positive attitude and truthful character demonstrating D>E service and our Hospitality 4.
Responsibilities:
  • Determines the best way to prepare fresh food items
  • Ordering and merchandising the culinary department
  • Responsible for department gross profits and labor percentages
  • Writing and planning weekly work schedules
  • Additional duties could include finding ways to cook multiple fresh items for the same dishes at once, creating sauces or toppings for dishes and developing the dishes themselves
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work station
  • Verbally receive and call back guest orders in an upbeat and friendly manner
  • Follow health and safety guidelines
  • Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
  • Food safety knowledge
  • General knife handling
  • General meat handling and preparation
  • Sets up and prepares equipment for use in food production. Follows proper cooking procedures in accordance with the standardized recipe cards and the supervisors instructions to produce a uniform product.
  • Utilizes all types of kitchen equipment to prepare food. Uses the appropriate following equipment: broilers, ovens, deep-fat fryers, slicers, choppers, steamers, and miscellaneous small equipment such as knives, paddles, etc.
  • Uses the appropriate equipment for the proper preparation and service of food.
Work Environment:
  • Inside work with extreme variations in heat, cold, dust, humidity from compressors, cooler, freezer, equipment, and preparation area.
Qualification:Required

  • Excellent communication skills
  • High school diploma
