What You’ll DoWe have an exciting opportunity for an analyst to join our Market Insights team, on a fixed term basis. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the success of the Commercial Buying team by undertaking data analysis that drives the supermarket strategy as well as the wider Woolworths Group. Key Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
Provide timely and accurate weekly and monthly market share reporting for senior management and the commercial buying teams on Woolworths market performance
Continually monitor and improve the accuracy and integrity of agency data
Champion the development of quantitative market and category insights, reporting across relevant channels to deliver and support supermarket business insights
Embed the usage of the market data tools across the Supermarket Business by supporting, developing and understanding data usage and applications across the multiple data sources
Foster a culture of continual improvement, proactively seeking opportunities for improvements in analysis, reporting, and processes
Build positive working relationships with 3rd party resources that ensure return of investment for Woolworths
Reviewing and developing broader data sources to support key business imperatives and opportunities
What You’ll BringWe are looking for an experienced analyst with a balance of technical knowledge and ability, alongside communication skills and stakeholder management. This role partners closely with our Commercial Buying team and other stakeholders to work on reporting and custom analysis for a variety of market insights projects; any previous exposure to customer driven data sources (e.g Circana/IRI or Nielsen) would be highly beneficial for this role.
Ideally 2 years previous experience in a data analyst role within a FMCG environment
High attention to detail and accuracy to ensure data integrity
Highly organised, with ability to own and prioritise a variety of tasks and projects and work within strict timeframes
An ability to develop and foster working relationships internally and with 3rd party providers
Market data exposure – experience using Circana (IRI), Nielsen or other market driven data sources would be highly beneficial
Advanced knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint
Advanced SAP/WBI/AFO skills desirable
SQL Intermediate proficiency essential
Tableau skills desirable
GCP experience desirable
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, numerical skills with strategic thinking capabilities
Innovation and continuous improvement focused and problem solving attitude
A proven ability of delivering against KPIs within previous roles
