SUBJECT: CAFETERIA COOKREPORTS TO: SUPERVISOR / ASSISTANT DIRECTOR/ DIRECTORACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:These positions are accountable for the efficient operation of a cafeteria including procurement,storage, preparation, serving of food, cleaning operations, and keeping all necessary records.Consistent with the Worcester Public Schools policies and negotiation contract.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)1. Plan and supervise the efficient operation of a school cafeteria: plan work schedules, oversee andassist with food preparation when necessary.2. Maintain financial records, prepare and make bank deposits when required.3. Responsible for calculating quantities of ingredients from standardized recipes.4. Responsible for planning, ordering, and preparing large scale cooking consistent with establishedmenus.5. Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all staff in the preparation, cooking, and servingof all foods.6. Responsible for coordinating and assisting cafeteria personnel in the cleaning of the equipmentand facility.7. Responsible for maintaining safety and sanitary conditions consistent with established laws andpractices of the Worcester Public Schools.8. Have good human relations skills with staff, pupils, and co-workers.9. Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:1. Citizenship, residency OR WORK VISA IN United States required2. Servsafe Manager, CPR/Choke, and Food Allergy training must be maintained; certification and renewals will be provided by the Nutrition Department3.
