Job Summary

Administers the various administrative functions related to our safety program. This includes data and processes involving accidents, inspections, awards and other risk-related data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enters and codes accidents into our risk management system.
  • Tracks, records, and processes roadside inspections of drivers and CMVs.
  • Processes reporting tied to unsafe driving, driver and manager bonuses, manager safety incentives, critical event reporting, and driver observations.
  • Prepares and tracks corrective action documentation including scanning of records into risk management system and related data entry.
  • Prepares department fleet scorecards, monthly meeting reporting, manager safety bonuses, and fleet-specific safety bonuses.
  • Handles inquiries from drivers, managers, and the motoring public with basic compliance questions, complaints, and department processes.
  • Updates driver termination reports and responds to inquiries from prospective employers.
  • Administers safety awards programs for all fleet drivers, including determination of award status, types of award earned, and maintains inventory of safety award items.
  • Assists with driver inspection reports and medical processes
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school education
  • Proficient in Word and Excel, Access preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • At least one year experience in similar administrative type position
  • Trucking/safety background preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
