Job Description
- Increase revenue from process improvements by checking shipping orders, palletize orders for transfer, properly shrink wrapping and weighing orders for shipping, pulling orders from stock if necessary, and filing the appropriate paperwork accurately
- Foster communication and collaborations across departments to requisition material needed to meet schedule requirements; provide feedback and information to supervisor
- Support a positive and productive work environment by maintaining a clean and organized work space, preparing paperwork and material for the next day’s work, keeping materials well stocked and ensuring orders are palletized in an orderly and correct manner
- Develop process efficiencies through efficiently loading/unloading trucks, and accurately staging/shrinking orders to be shipped
- Decrease costs by checking orders for completeness and efficiently loading and unloading trucks
- Foster customer relationships through shipping products in a timely manner
- Perform daily forklift check and cleaning
- Other duties and assignments as required
- Forklift License / Certification
- 3 - 5 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance
- Tools include: forklift, scissors, utility knives
- In-depth knowledge of forklift operation and processing of shipping orders
- This position requires basic skills (Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
