An Employment Specialist – Students, will lead our school career planning services in the Portland/Saco area.

As an Employment Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

• Working with students engaging in activities in the community to identify skills and barriers
• Collaborating with clients to develop career goals and objectives
• Developing relationships with businesses to set up assessments to have clients observe and shadow in the community.
• Supporting clients in the community to develop life and independence skills

The job might be for you if you have experience working with youth and :

• You have human services experience or an interest in the field
• You want to make a positive impact in the lives of others

• You have an interest in supporting youth population toward their employment goals

Career growth opportunities – potential selection into our Management Training Program for people who have the following experience:

• Management of a small team
• Informal leadership in sports, clubs, or civic organizations

Additional requirements include:

• Valid driver’s license and comfortable with travel within the community
• Monday – Friday, daytime hours availability (flexibility offered for part-time)
• Comfortable using technology for documentation and organization
