Job DescriptionGrounds Maintenance PositionWORK Inc. John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum Boston, MAPlease Note: This position requires that the individual applying for this position have a diagnosed disability in accordance with the eligibility criteria outlined by the AbilityOne Commission. The successful candidate will receive case management services if hired and must be able to pass a Federal background check.WORK Inc., a nonprofit human service provider agency in Dorchester, is seeking individual with a disability to perform grounds maintenance and snow removal duties at the at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, 200 William T. Morrissey Blvd. The successful candidate will be able to pass a Federal background check.
This position is responsible for the following and not limited to:
  • Mowing and edging lawns
  • Trimming and pruning hedges/bushes
  • Weeding mulch beds
  • Spreading mulch
  • Planting
  • Watering lawns, plants, flowers etc.
  • Policing grounds
  • Snow removal (shoveling, using snow blowers and brushes)
  • The ability to use power equipment.
The position currently pays $20.72 per hour at 40 hours per week 52 weeks per year with the ability to work nights or weekends based on the needs of the building. In addition, the position includes an individual plan of benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance and life insurance that are paid for in full by the employer. Other benefits include 11 paid Federal holidays, two weeks of paid vacation after one year of employment and 56 hours of sick time per year. Applicants are subject to Federal Security background checks.
