Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the patient sitter provides constant observation of patients that have been identified as needing a higher level of observation due to safety concerns

**Qualifications**

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum Work Experience: Health care setting experience preferred

Certifications: American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support)

Essential Functions: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
