Career Opportunity: AVP, Commercial Lending

Location: Littleton, MA (On-site) Hybrid

This position can be performed primarily remote but may require occasional travel to the Littleton Headquarters. 

Position Summary: Helps drive the success of the credit union’s Commercial and Small Business Lending through strategic and tactical initiatives. Emphasis on business development, sales and relationship management. Provides guidance to retail staff regarding commercial services activities and operations.

General Responsibilities: 

Business Development 

• Extensive outside calling on businesses to sell small business loan and deposit services, commercial real estate loans, and other commercial services directly to member businesses, as well as personal deposit and loan accounts. Cultivates relationships with business customers in order to achieve designated individual and department productivity goals.

Loan Administration

• Conduct credit analysis on new and existing loans. 
• Review financial statements, credit reports and other relevant information to assess credit worthiness. Prepare credit reports and deal screen summaries for senior officers.
• Ensure all loan applications and processes comply with credit union regulations and internal policies. Assist in identifying and mitigating risks associated with lending activities. Stay updated on changes in credit union regulations and industry best practices.

Relationship Management 

• Provide excellent customer service to Commercial customers. 
• Respond to inquiries and assist potential borrowers with the application process. Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Work closely with Relationship Officers, Commercial Administrative Staff and Loan Servicing Staff to facilitate the lending process.

Qualifications: 

• 2 - 4 years of experience in banking, finance, or a related field, with a focus on lending or credit analysis.
• Knowledge of credit union regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in financial analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
