Remote Role - Must reside in United States
Pay Rate: $16-18/hr (dependent on experience)
Contract Role: 6 months
Anticipated Start Date: Janary 22, 2024
Job DescriptionAssist in activities related to the medical and psychosocial aspects of utilization and coordinated care.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years managed care setting, medical office or facility setting with demonstration of medical administration duties.
- Thorough knowledge of customer service, utilization review or claims processing practices in a managed care environment and operation of office equipment such as a personal computer.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with Word, Excel Powerpoint
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Complete assigned tasks and document findings
- Follow up calls with DME companies, Physician's offices, etc.
- Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
- Follow up calls to members
- Any other projects that may arise
- Must be able to meet strict turn-around times with documentation
- Complete approximately 20 to 40 tasks per day
- Conduct follow up calls in a timely manner
