As a Learning Experience Designer at WorkForge, you will play a crucial role in designing engaging and effective learning materials that combine instructional design principles with visually compelling graphics. You will have the opportunity to use your advanced skills in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro to create high-impact animations and illustrations that bring learning content to life. Your ability to manage projects from start to finish, while solving complex problems and managing stakeholder expectations, will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Instructional Design:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze learning needs and objectives.
  • Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, training guides, and multimedia presentations.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and updates of existing training materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Able to execute projects from initiation to closing with complex problem solving and managing stakeholder expectations.

2. Graphic Design:

  • Create visually appealing graphics, illustrations, and multimedia elements to enhance learning content.
  • Develop custom images, infographics, and visual assets that align with brand guidelines.
  • Utilize graphic design tools and software to enhance the overall aesthetics of training materials.
  • Ensure visual consistency and accessibility across all design elements.

3. Collaboration, Communication, and Project Management:

  • Work closely with clients, cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, graphic designers, subject matter experts, and the product team.
  • Communicate design concepts and rationale effectively, incorporating feedback to refine deliverables.
  • Lead project management efforts from start to finish, working collaboratively with stakeholders to grasp project requirements and ensure timely delivery within scope.

4. Technology Proficiency:

  • Advanced skills in using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, After Effects, and Premier Pro.
  • Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, etc.).
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in instructional design and graphic design.

5. Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct quality assurance checks on all design deliverables to ensure accuracy, functionality, and alignment with project goals.
  • Implement best practices for design consistency and adherence to branding guidelines.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Deisgn, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in learning experience design with a strong portfolio showcasing graphic design skills.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Illustrator, Premier Pro, and After Effects.
  • Advanced skills in graphic design software and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • PMP Certification, ScrumMaster, or related certifications are preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings.
  • Ability to participate in minimal annual domestic travel (<10%).
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Working Conditions:

This position must be able to work in close proximity to others and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
