The Senior General Manager is a Multi-unit position with some travel but still a 90% responsibility of running their own personal club and delivering upon the basics on performance in production, and a clean, friendly, and well maintained atmosphere in their clubs.
Senior General Managers will supervise the General Managers of their satellite locations. Their supervision and leadership are vital to both the development of new General Managers and the production and profitability of their respective locations.
The Senior General Manager (SGM) reports directly to the Regional Manager.
Senior General Managers are to
perform/participate in the following duties to support their satellite clubs:
Production Calls with each GM once per week, focusing on the following KPIs:
o Referrals at Point of Sale
o Success Session ratio to new members
o ACH ratio
o Term Ratio
o Avg. Dues per membership
o Calls and appointments from Lead Generation
Training and Development with each GM once per week, focusing on the following:
o Gym Audits every quarter
o Site visits once a month
o Payroll expenses to Budget expectations
o Updates of facility needs and maintenance issues documentation
o Coordinate staff training needs and identify opportunities for growth
Ensuring that the General Managers have the assistance they need as well as holding them and their teams accountable for results is essentially the primary function of a Senior General Manager. Assisting other Corporate Officers from time to time with initiatives, developing a strong group of GMs, and being a good example and leader is more important to company success than anything a Senior General Manager can achieve personally.
