Role:Construction Supervisor / Project Lead

Position Description:

The Construction Supervisor will interact with multiple disciplines across the organization to assist in the installation of facilities (tank batteries, pipelines, compressors, etc.) Applies basic and some advanced skills to perform routine and complex operations using tools and equipment appropriate for the energy industry. Applies a general understanding of the technical concepts, practices, and procedures and has a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to the oil and gas industry.

• Able to communicate across multiple disciplines within the organization to meet team objectives. (Superintendents, Foreman, Engineers, I&E, EHS, and others as necessary)
• Conduct site inspections and identify process improvements.
• Identify problems and/or recommend courses of action to the supervisor to decrease costs and increase production.
• Direct 3rd party contractors on-site to achieve required job tasks.
• Assist in the screening and selection of properly qualified contractors to work on Vital locations.
• Able to generate basic bill of materials to complete maintenance tasks of Facilities.
• Ensures all documentation required by company standards is collected for document retention.
• Perform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all assigned equipment.
• Ensures Company employees and contractors adhere to local, company, state, and federal rules, regulations, and policies.
• Maintains regulatory compliance by coordinating closely with the EH&S and Air Quality departments.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma is required
• Experience: Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in construction or relevant production operations.
• Familiarity with generating Bill of Materials, equipment design considerations, supervising 3rd parties, and SiteView software preferred.
• Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle.
• Must have general knowledge of safe oil and gas production operations.
• Must have a working knowledge of engineering principles..
• Demonstrate proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must be able to perform simple math calculations, have a mechanical aptitude, and possess good writing skills.
• Must be dependable and able to work overtime when necessary.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, ability to work with minimum supervision, and demonstrate cooperative behavior in the workplace.
• Must possess a desire to automate repetitive tasks and utilize data from multiple sources to achieve differential results.

Location: Carlsbad, NM

Hitch: 5/2

Pay Rate: $40-$60 per hour

Benefits:

• per diem $280 per day

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift

• Upstream Construction: 7 years (Required)
• Facility Construction: 5 years (Required)
• Pipeline Construction: 5 years (Required)
