Saw Operator / Material Handler

Job Requirements:

- At least 6 months experience as a Sawyer
- Must have working knowledge of email and Microsoft Excel
- To pass a drug test
- Current Drivers license; to be insured to run errands for the company.

SAW-Daily Duties:

- Ensure safety practices are always followed.
- Make sure saw area is kept clean and free of clutter.
- Ensure saw(s) are maintained and cleaned and end of day.
- Ensure travelers with Saw ops are cut correct lengths and deburred of any sharp edges.
- Fill out traveler OP's (digitally) and make a traveler magnet for each traveler before moving
material or starting the next job. (TRAVELER DOCUMENTATION INFO AND MAGNETS ARE
A MUST BEFORE STARTING NEXT JOB).
- Manage transport of WIP between machines and outside processing. Keep all WIP organized
throughout the shop.
- All product (WIP) that is going out for outside processing (heat treating, machining, etc.) must
be stationed in the HT/KEEP CLEAR box by the saw area. The same process goes for
incoming WIP as well.
- Manage organization of inventory in the yard.
- Unloading of incoming raw materials.
- Perform incoming raw materials QC process as needed (correct material, correct quantity,
etc.).
- Check and empty all chip bins as needed.
- Check expediting traveler bins periodically throughout the day to ensure parts get moved to
next op process.
- All cut parts to be deburred and marked with traveler #.
- All raw material to be color coded with proper identifying color as to what material (blue 8620,
white 4140, etc.)
- All raw material to be marked with diameter size or size description clearly visible.
- To keep area clean and organized!!!!

SAW-Weekly Tasks:
- Fill propane tank on small forklift.
- Make sure saw and area around saw is swept and clean.
- Empty shop trash (twice a week as needed), recycling bin (Tuesdays) and clean bathrooms
(Every Friday).

Hours & Pay:

- Full time, Days
- $16.00- $18.00 per hour
