What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning and Development Instructor position at World Acceptance Corporation?

The Learning and Development Instructor is responsible for administering and coordinating assigned virtual training classes for field reps. This includes the planning, trainings, and performance assessments of remote new hire team members. This position will assist with organizing established structures and adjust as needed to meet the desired performance targets and learning outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and instruct engaging virtual new hire development training classes
  • Serve strong oral communication skills when presenting, leading engagement activities, and answering questions
  • Assist with providing regular/requested reports on completed training classes
  • Implement and administer established training communications
  • Maintain good communications and relationships with Team Members during training timeframes
  • Contribute and adapt training materials, content, and curriculum
  • Maintain process structures and best practices, ensuring quality control
  • Coach trainees in company best practices, customer service standards
  • Ability to combine practical experience, business intuition, and analysis to identify strengths and weakness in current processes, training, and drive operational improvement.
  • Assist with development, testing, and implementation of dynamic call flows to ensure highest value calls are answered
  • Communicate with Learning and Development leaders to share training performance insights and to formulate action plans.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Must be able to learn other applications quickly, including in-house applications.
  • Must have the ability to Present in small and large groups.
  • Strong curiosity to seek out, investigate, and implement training structures for operational efficiency.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well individually and in a collaborative environment.
  • Must respond well to pressure and deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly and to think through ambiguous business training goals
  • Ability to project manage with attention to detail
  • Demonstrate exceptional time management, prioritization skills, and dependability
  • Must have strong command of the English language, both oral and written

Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience training individually and in small classroom or group settings
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Positive experience with World as a Branch Manager and/or BSC Senior a plus

Physical Demands:

Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary position.

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Occasionally may require light lifting up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
