THE ROLE

The World Trade Center Institute is currently seeking a Manager of Fellowships. WTCI’s three leadership and professional development fellowships focus on addressing major international issues impacting business and society. They enable purpose-driven leaders of all ages to come together to gain valuable connections and new ideas.

These fellowships include the Bowe Fellowship for Global Executives, Albrecht Fellowship for College Students and Albrecht Fellowship for High School Students. The position will have heavier programmatic and recruitment involvement with the Albrecht Fellowships, but will also significantly support the Bowe Fellowship’s sessions design and delivery.

This individual will report directly to the VP of Global Engagement and Fellowships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bowe Fellowship - Support the VP of Global Engagement and Fellowships in program curriculum development and fellow and speaker recruitment as well as with the Bowe Fellowship Advisory Board work.
  • Albrecht Fellowships – Lead the session design, fellow and speaker recruitment in collaboration with VP of Global Engagement and Fellowships as well as lead the Albrecht Fellowships Advisory Board activities and engagement.
  • Lead all fellowships budget management activities, including collecting tuition, processing and tracking expenses, and ensuring the programs stay within budget.
  • Drive programs’ growth plans, creating and implementing strategies for revenue, recruitment, and expansion into new markets.
  • Enter and track program data in Salesforce, including fellow’s information, speaker information, etc.
  • Oversee logistics planning including catering, establishing agendas, and décor for the sessions.
  • Deliver clear communication with all fellows and speakers concerning upcoming sessions.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of program sessions.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Communications to ensure that fellowships website is up to date and social media efforts are on schedule.
  • Lead and manage the work of Fellowships interns.

Additional requirements:

  • Experience in program management or event planning.
  • Experience working with and building relationships with community leaders, executives, government, and academic leaders.
  • Ability to create and drive program curriculum.
  • Drive smart, outcomes-based change and innovation.
  • Superb communication skills over e-mail, phone and in-person are essential, as well as strong customer service instincts.
  • Strong experience creating and presenting information via spreadsheets and presentations. 
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities accordingly.
  • Ability to juggle several assignments at once.
  • Stong attention to detail.
  • Highly reliable and personable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Asana, and other programs as needed is a plus.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional work experience with a track record of effective program or event management and accomplishments; completion of advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to work on eight Saturdays from January to June. 

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

  • Remote and flexible work schedule
  • Compensation of $58,000 – $65,000 annual salary (commensurable with experience)
