Job DescriptionThe ISA Program Manager’s primary responsibility is to support students from application through departure. They are tasked with converting applicants and retaining students who enroll in programs in their designated program portfolio. This is achieved by assisting enrolled participants with program-related questions, application procedures, and other tasks, treating every student like family, as they prepare to study abroad on one of our programs in Europe, Latin America, or Africa. While students are our primary clients, Program Managers will also engage with contacts from the US University and family members of participants. Our Program Management team believes in the life-changing capacity of studying abroad and embraces that statement with total enthusiasm.
Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Employ best practices to advise and direct students from program application to departure. Pull and review metrics, acceptance time, and withdrawal information per program location.
  • Maintain frequent phone and email contact, providing excellent customer service.
  • Determine eligibility of student applications at assigned locations, reviewing application materials.
  • Expertly advise on all aspects of the program including city, academics, housing, visas, budgeting, etc.
  • Review course pre-registration forms, oversee placement exams and maintain any course spreadsheets.
  • Manage content for the online orientation per program locations.
  • Advise on visa processes for program locations.
  • Prepare Arrival Guides before student departure.
  • Review and summarize all program evaluations and work with leadership on potential follow-up and courses of action.
  • Respond quickly and professionally, handling communication with parents, students, and/or advisors, and any on-site incident reports involving students.
  • Serve as an on-call staff member for one week approximately once every year.
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities, program locations, and projects as deemed necessary by ISA management to align with evolving enrollment.
  • Optional domestic travel to assist in ISA recruitment and orientation efforts on US university campuses.

  • Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid: Mondays and Fridays are WFH and Tuesdays - Thursdays are in the office)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of professional work experience preferred
  • Prior experience living, working, studying abroad, or international travel in New Zealand or elsewhere in the Asia Pacific region is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) including outstanding phone manner
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Positive, helpful, and friendly attitude
  • A willingness to take on new tasks outside of the given job description
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks / Time management
  • Valid passport
  • A passion and excitement for international education with a strong desire to grow and improve their program location(s)
