Position: Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sterility, and proper handling of medical instruments and equipment. The role requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, inventory management, sterile processing techniques, physiology knowledge, and aseptic techniques.
Duties:
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, and sterilization of medical instruments following established protocols.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality before and after sterilization.
- Maintain accurate records of processed items and ensure proper documentation.
- Monitor and track inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and standards to maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet the needs of patients and staff.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Experience in inventory management within a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and aseptic practices.
- Understanding of physiology to ensure proper handling of medical instruments.
- Certification or training in sterile processing is preferred.
