Wright Household is Hiring a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Near Thibodaux, LA
COMPANY OVERVIEW
The Wright Household: Established in 2003, therefore, with 15 years of working with CNAs, Direct Support Professionals, and/or Caregivers through homecare agencies in the Bayou Region. However, since 2016, we have become a member of the Self-Direction Option through the Louisiana Department of Health. This path has allowed us to work independently and directly with our staff and provided us with the opportunity to have control over payroll (within approved waiver), recruiting, training, supervising, and managing. We are currently looking to hire (2) experienced caregivers to help fulfill the needs of a disabled individual.
AVAILABLE SHIFT
- Full-Time (40hrs/Week) - Mornings and Evenings Tuesday: 7 AM-10 PM - Wednesday: 3 PM-10 PM, Thursday: 3 PM-10 PM, Friday 3 PM-10 PM, and every other Saturday & Sunday 7 AM-3 PM.
- Overnight: 10 PM-6 AM FIRST WEEK: (Sunday, OFF, Tuesday, OFF, OFF, Friday, OFF) SECOND WEEK: (OFF, Monday, OFF, Wednesday, Thursday, OFF)
- PRN
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES FOR WRIGHT HOUSEHOLD
- Perform personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and using the bathroom.
- Perform household duties, including meal preparation and housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, etc.)
- Help with mobility, transferring, repositioning, and transporting.
- Prepare and submit all written progress notes by weekly deadlines.
- Maintain a safe and friendly work environment.
- Communicate with employer and employees and provide feedback regularly.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR WRIGHT HOUSEHOLD
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Valid driver's license
- Availability to work mornings or evenings, some holidays, and weekends
- Well-organized and reliable
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A positive and compassionate attitude
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ten years of experience in-home care, a nursing facility, or hospital setting
- Comfortable with supervision.
- Ability and willingness to travel to conventions, conferences, and vacations when needed.

Pay: $16.25 per hour
