WRiTE BRAiN WORLD is seeking a Director of Operations who is a proven leader in operations with experience in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.

WBW’s curricula is the only in the world in the fun and academic art of children’s book authoring. WRiTE BRAiN’s mission is to empower students and educators through unparalleled educational programs that increase literacy, inspire creativity, and boost much needed self-esteem, delivering whole student development.
WBW offers a suite of social-emotional (SEL) skills-building programs and SEL is intentionally imbedded in every lesson plan, across all grade levels. Building writing, reading, speaking, and listening literacy, and social-emotional skills through standards-aligned, project-based English Language Arts and Development experiences, WRiTE BRAiN’s curricula and programs increase academic and personal confidence in students, while inspiring beleaguered educators in equal measure. Nearly 175,000 students have been served, with over 90% burdened by high-poverty and/or low academic performance. Around 75,000 of students using WBW are classified as English Learners.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will work directly with and report to our Chief Executive Officer and very closely with our Senior Manager of Organizational Partnerships. As the Director of Operations, our Operations/Company Coordinator and others will report to you directly. You will manage the existing support team and help to expand it. In your role, you will apply your heightened skills to continuously improve all aspects of WRiTE BRAiN’s operations and logistics. You will assess and analyze metrics, optimize follow-up processes to increase closed sales to education partners, maintain oversight of conference planning, oversee WBW’s warehouse and fulfillment center activities, and fully manage all communication and uploading of new orders to our fulfillment center. You will work closely with WBW’s outsourced logistics partner and manage operational team to ensure our partners have a second-to-none “customer care” experience with WRiTE BRAiN across all phases.

IMPORTANT: This role requires your physical presence at our office in Hollywood area of Los Angeles. We have the luxury of being in a large house on a business block in a safe and desirable area. Every office has a door that closes and window(s) that open. There is a large deck. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT BASED IN THE LOS ANGELES METROPOLITAN REGION.
Salary is competitive and negotiable, based on experience.
