We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join a global offshore drilling contractor. The HR Generalist will play a critical role in managing HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive work environment. This position is based in Houston, TX, and offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries.
• Mediate and resolve employee disputes and grievances.
• Promote a positive work environment and culture.
• Implement and manage performance appraisal systems.
• Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related issues.
• Develop and facilitate performance improvement plans.
• Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and other sources.
• Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity laws and practices.
• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure HR practices are compliant and effective.
• Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting HR practices.
• Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
• Conduct new hire orientations and ensure effective onboarding processes.
• Support leadership development initiatives and succession planning.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
• Assist in the development and implementation of compensation strategies.
• Ensure employees are informed about their benefits and compensation options.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Must have 5-10 years of experience in Human Resources, specifically within the offshore drilling industry.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
• Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, and recruitment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
