WSN is seeking a Data Process Project Manager to place in a long-term consulting role with our client, a tier one wholesale bank in NYC. No third parties please.

Role Description:

The Data Process Development and Communications Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and implementing target state processes to support key regulatory Finance Data initiatives with a focus on the end-to-end management of data-related requests raised by the Finance organization. An ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, strong interpersonal skills and project management expertise are required. The role requires sound analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate complex and dynamic material from various sources to support with business requirement documents, data issues and analysis. The role requires the ability to analyze and interpret data using Excel, develop Powerpoint materials suitable for senior management, and support the development of interim-state processes in a digital tool, Smartsheet. Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Define key Finance Data processes and develop path to implementation taking into account change management, budget, and stakeholder involvement constraints
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including the day-to-day execution activities and meetings
• Examines and evaluates project status, including identifying potential risks and issues that need escalation or change and proposing solutions to project leads
• Supports in development of key content for senior management and internal stakeholders related to processes, program updates, etc.
• Manage day-to-day activities related to the overall program / project, and associated dependencies. Coordinate work within team or project group
• Support resolution of project issues by offering solutions to resolve complex problems, and by interpreting and advising on policies, guidelines or processes
• Liaises with multiple Data teams/departments, and serve as subject matter for planning and analysis of project deliverables and processes
• Understands principles of data governance, issue management, and product development to create processes and tooling to support Finance Data
• Independently conducts analysis and executes tasks that contribute to work streams focusing on broad range of data initiatives (e.g., analyzing metrics to product senior management reporting)
• Develops and articulates business requirements and maps current and future state processes
• Contributes tactically to strategic design and process improvement project implementation across lines of business and functions
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Banking, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years relevant experience in Banking, Finance, or Consulting preferred
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Ability to be nimble and adjust priorities as needed
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives
• Familiarity with data concepts
• Ability to understand gaps in existing processes to develop and define target state
• Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
• Experience with Excel, PPT, and Smartsheet (digital tool)
